Military legal assistance and disaster planning:
A collection of resources related to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks

State Bar of Wisconsin, along with Wisconsin's legal community, is taking several steps to assist those affected by the Sept. 11 terrorism events. Activities include free seminars to aid lawyers in providing pro bono legal services to military personnel called to active duty, volunteer mediation services, and assistance to Muslims and Middle Easterners questioned by federal authorities. For a list of these activities, click here.

The State Bar also has prepared a collection of resources related to the Sept. 11 events. This collection includes links to:

  • disaster planning and recovery resources appropriate for the business community
  • victims benefits and assistance
  • how to identify legitimate charities and ensure proper tax benefits for these gifts
