Use of IP Addresses

We use your IP address (i.e., execpc.com, aol.com or yourfirnname.com) to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer various features of our site. Use of "Cookies"

The State Bar of Wisconsin uses "cookies" in conjunction with its online Lawyer Referral Service. The relationship of an attorney to a client is privileged and confidential; the State Bar makes every attempt to safeguard that confidentiality online. LegalExplorer uses cookies in its "Need a Lawyer?" section to facilitate the search for a lawyer. Without cookies, users would need to repeatedly type the same information through each step of the search process. The use of cookies also facilitates administrative processing.

A cookie is a small text file that holds data about user activity (when going through multiple pages, it remembers selections). They do not pose a threat to your computer, your web browser, or software installed on your system. They do not contain viruses, and the information provided is not used beyond the general administration. Information gathered through the use of cookies is not sold or provided to vendors, direct mail concerns, email list services, etc. The State Bar of Wisconsin cannot control the use of cookies by sites linked to LegalExplorer. LegalExplorer is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such sites.
